With certain skys depending on the camera placement the moon will show. But you can also create a sphere and go into the materials editor,put a dot in the first row in the diffuse column, then click the P in the little window next to it then the pinkish button above it.Another window appears and just click one of the squares and load a moon map that you can download here or I found another more realistic one but cant remember where I got it.
