Bottom line - Been away from Poser but just got Poser 9 and am returning.  Feeling retro for my old version, I tried to model a bodysuit as a base for P5 Don clothes.  Had problems both when I grouped it outside of Poser and when I used Poser's autogroup in the setup room.  Had fewer problems with V4 and other more recent models.  Just wondering if P5 Don might be inherently troublesome.
