Well while I could have kept silent I am going to have to put my hands up on this one, yes I still get stupid crashes in Vue when doing the simplest things but I ran Prime95 recently and it crashed the PC after 20 minutes.

So to cut a long story short my rock solid overclock on the PC went tits up, its been running at 3Ghz for 2 years and no problems rendering, even 3D Max is ok, but Prime crashed it so I have upped the voltage on the CPU and has been running Prime for 24 hours so seems stable enough, looks like it was the overclock that was causing the crashes, so anyway, going to try another render and see what happens
