i apologise , in my haste to grab the material settings and get back i inadvertantly loaded the wrong file ...i got a previous version of the file i had messed up on and abandoned... the actual " shader"used turns out not to be the EZskin shader either but the Vss shader that comes with Antonia.
my referance to the big red 'S' is refering to SUPER nice guy, for trying to be helpfull with this. even if its not 100% accurate he answered to the best of his knowledge, for that im greatfull. if the answer was perfectly clear it probably wouldnt be an issue at all.PLEASE dont chastise him for trying to help.
ill spill the beans early on this , something i dont usually do , but this is a project im working on for a freestuff item. kinda like a pz3 with basic needs already in place that can be expanded upon.what im trying to do is make some prefab sets that people can use for their renders.some find it overwhelming to create sets, theres a lot involved and its a time consuming process. this is the upstairs bedroom of an early victorian style house ,common in my area, i also have a ranch style and a cape cod style started. im trying to prevent some of the frustration of having to start from scratch on every render project, get most of the elements in place to make it easier for beginners, the vast majority of users who visit here, something they can use for realistic environments to learn from, its an ambitious project , certainly more than i can do on my own. i was hoping for a lot of help from the community on this, maybe even a group effort.i'd like to get the bones of the project out there and have other users help me tune it for the general comunity to use, maybe even a base for content creators to use for developing new products... before the industrial revolution there werent any standards of measure , everything being hand made, built for a speciffic purpose, you couldnt go to the hardware store and find a bolt or screw to fit your needs so a blacksmith had to be employed to make one....you get the point.
ever try to load a .BVH and make it fit your environment?
i began with poser2... i just updated to PP2012 ' the best ever'IMHO. im finding it very complex exploring all the new features especially the lighting and shaders , ill need a lot of help to bring this project to fruition, i cant anticipate every need,im primarily a modeler, but as a community it can happen . i have been around here for a long time i know what this forum is capable of, i know its full of people who want to advance this software and have a genuine desire to help others . thats been the general principal of what this forum has always been about, people helping people.
