This one needed a new start and is getting one. Found with a damaged wing which unfortunately could not be restored, the hawk was nursed to health and has a new start and new life as an educational hawk. He in named Amigo and will be part of educational programs for schools, club groups, taken to camp grounds and more. In that role, Amigo will help birds in the wild even if he is unable to return to wild living.
He will have a good life and good care. Nature is preferred but when the choice is dying in the woods or having life and a comfortable and purposeful one, the later choice is best.
I took photos of this hawk for his "resume" or CV, hoping to land him a job at a rehabilitation/educational center needing a very nice broad wing hawk.
