The problems for D/S 3.expensive users was not just the cost of D/S 4.expensive. Many needed useful (and costly) plug-ins that were made for D/S 3, and are not afforable or available for D/S 4. The lack of those plug-ins would disrupt the work flow of many D/S 3 users. They may not be able to use even a free upgrade.
