I'm not a big fan of Bryce but for free?  Why not. Also content creator  for Daz studio 4 is there

 

Hex is a pretty powerful modeler,  even if you don't want to learn it right away download it now just to get the reg #.  Like I sad a good portion of carrara's vertex modeler is fashioned from hex.   I got to say its about the easiest modeler I've used.  Has some big features for asmall package
