IMO DAZ made a mistake when they did not make V5 a stand alone figure that could be used equally in Poser or in DAZ studio. There are people out there who are still using Poser 5 (heck I still have Poser 4 on my external drive, but I use just the runtime because of all the crap that I had installed into that program.). I'm not saying that they shouldn't have had their Genesis system or the weight mapping that works only in Studio, I'm just saying to have made the greatest amount of profit they should also have had a stand alone V5 and M5 figure for the general Poser market. But then again, the newest PS3 machines are no longer backward compatible and will no longer play PS2 and PS1 games. Big shame that. I'm not getting rid of my PS3 machine because it still is compatible and will play those game format discs. Even though I bought the hype and went and got DAZ Studio 4 Pro last night, I'm not sure I'm even going to install the program. Genesis and V5 are not that much of an interest for me because of the hoops you have to go through just to get it into Poser. I guess I was more lured by Bryce 7 Pro (and my room mate wanted Hexagon). So even though I fell for the lure, I'm not on the Genesis/V5 bandwagon because its not installable/workable with Poser, which is my program of choice.

And no, I'm not DAZ bashing here. I'm just think they made a bad marketing decision with the direction they went with Genesis.
