Did you delete the previous download before getting the new download? I've had problems with windows not overwriting the old file with a new download. Really frustrating with large downloads! It's even more frustrating because sometimes the new download overwrites the old file with no problem, other times you can't without completely deleting any trace of the old file!

Another problem might be a configuration file that isn't getting deleted, I'm not sure where that might be hiding (I would think in C:Program FilesDAZ 3DDAZStudio4).....I just happened to think, if it is a preferences file, you might be able to enable the tabs by going to Windows>Tabs> then selecting the tabs you need (Smart Content, Shaping, Surfaces for the tabs on the left).

If nothing above seems to work, try posting a request for help in the Commons in the DAZ forums. It's where most people go, and you should get help pretty quikly. I would think that someone else has had a similar problem.
