BB. The ones I have seen in art galleries are highly detailed and flawless. There are no bubbles in them. I am sure they are poured in a mold and my guess is that they are some kind of resin. But the best way for me to describe the appearance is that they are the color and look of plaster. When you run your hand over it, it is smooth but it has a matt finish and they are very heavy.
