Hi. I'm barely here these days, but when I was told you were doing *architecture*, I thought I gotta try something! (I began in architectural drawing, so it has a very special meaning for me.) Please forgive that I'm not here alot, but I look all the time & love what you've posted here so far.

This is a "guilloche" pattern, a common architectural ornament. Tara just posted another sample from the same building (The Harold Washington Public Library in Chicago), only she called it "Ric Rac". Bravo. Ornaments should cross all boundaries...
