I don't know what you're doing. Your words imply things that may not be what you're doing.
And we don't know what the product you're installing is doing right or wrong.
If, for example, you have a zip file that begins at the top with:
Runtime
And you wish to merge that with:
c:/Poser 9/Runtime
And you drag it into
c:/Poser 9
it should merge. If you did not get a Windows warning something about "there already is a runtime folder" and ask you if you want to merge, then you didn't do that - you did something else - something you're not telling us.
If the zip file doesn't contain, at the top,
Runtime
Then it probably contains:
NameOfProduct/Runtime
In which case you should drill down one level first.
If you just dragged "NameOfProduct" into a Poser runtime, you did not merge its structure, but instead you created a new substructure, which Poser is absolutely not going to pay any attention to.
When you add a library to Poser, it has to have a name, such as Foo. In that there has to be a subfolder called Runtime. Further under Runtime you usually have Geometries, Libraries, and Textures. If you don't have Libraries at that point, then you're not going to see anything in Poser from that folder.
For example, in the category of props, they should be in:
NameOfLibrary/Runtime/Libraries/Props
Anything else and they will not show up.
Again, as I said earlier, Poser will show you the exact location of library elements that are being displayed properly. If you expect to add to those places, pay attention to those places. Go into Explorer and verify that the things you expect to see are where they are supposed to be.
You haven't told us a single actual path, so all this is guesswork. I can assure you that things are not where they need to be. I can also say that you've not said anything to indicate you know where those places are.
This isn't about me doubting you, it's about me knowing that the software shows things from specific folders, and it tells you those specific folders. Until you specify an example of a specific file in a specific folder that is demonstrated via Explorer and the info from the Poser Library window that you've got the file in the right folder, I have to assume it's not in the right folder.
I can't get any more specific since listing all the wrong folders on your computer is not something I can do from here.
Adding a library is different than merging a library.
When you unzip, pay attention to which you are doing. Are you starting a new library or merging to an existing one? If starting a new one, you have to add the library folder (the folder that has a unique name and contains a Runtime folder) to Poser as an external library.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
