What the other files are is the content included with Poser.
I am a Mac user, but do carry a Windows Laptop when I travel vs my Mac Laptop depending on what the tasks are I need to accomplish on that trip...So I am thinking of gettting PP2012 for the win7 machine also and because there are certain apps that are windows only, and I hate running windows in emulation mode on my mac desktop...so been researching the win7 install issues.
Back to the issue. This assumes you are using Win 7. The app goes where your normal apps go in windows. It should have installed the default runtime in your documents folder. Did you or do you find a folder there? The defualt folder name on a Mac is "Poser Pro 2012 Content". Look for a folder by that name or a name close to that in your dcuments folder.
Whatever you do don't put anything in the runtime found in the apps folder where the Poser app is. Win7, won't let you write or change files there. There are other threads that cover this very issue here. Search on this fourm using Win7 or windows7 and you will see all the info as to why.
Now on a Mac when you did the main install of the app you needed to have the extra content you downlaod in the same folder as the installer. When you ran the installer it placed the content automatically in the correct folders. This was covered in the readme and during the install there where check boxes you selected of what you wanted to install. Never tried it anyother way. Not 100 percent sure if the same holds true for the windows installer. Again there should have been a readme that came along with your download. Check that and or the Poser manual which is a PDF and found under the help drop down menu inside of Poser.
Hope that helps and gets you going.
