I've made Poser illustrations for product packages and also a company logo.  I mostly use it for fun, though, in illustrating role playing characters or stories.

I've seen Poser images on most of the top stock photo sites. Judging from the downloads, some of them do quite well, though, I'd think one would have to have a decently robust machine to pump out any reasonable quantity of renders at the pixel resolutions (5k x 5k or bigger) that such sites demand.
