I should really have said there is no reason for an interface like this on a PC.
As for Windows 8, I've changed my mind about it after using it for a while.
It's noticeable faster then Windows 7, boot time are like magic, a lot of stuff is easier to do once you figure out how it works.
Now when I go back and use Windows 7 it just seems slow.
And most of all, I found out how to work in it the same way I do in Windows 7 ignoring the horsey Start Screen.
Here's my Windows 8 desktop, it looks almost the same as my W7 desktop.
I don't have to use the start screen at all, I boot right to the desktop, and the links for everything are right there.
The only things I haven't been able to run are the Adobe CS 3 and 4 versions of all my graphics software, because Adobe security won't let my install them without unregistering them from Windows 7.
So I've had to go back and use older versions of my Adobe software that aren't so fussy.
