Quote - ok ... last post for tonight .... but with a few questions ....

** No problem! my computer is going to shut off on me after it updates, anyway. Why is Windows XP updating...its kind of obsolete, but whatever, on to questions!**

I am still trying to un-hook the stuff for getting rid of the blue tint around the lips and eyes .... so I will be point blank .... is it the "scatter" node overlap that causes this?

** The SSS causes glow sometimes. There's no way to get rid of it; 3D World Magazine made a comment about this when they reviewed Poser 2012. Tweak the Texture_Detail/MaxError numbers until the glow is less visible. True point, though: that glow is heavily scene-light dependant; no matter how well you fine tune your materials that glow can still show up.**

Now...for your particular problem, there's a common solution bagginsbill turned us all on to: turn Visibility to "Off"{ in Parameters tab} for every piece of hidden geometry in the mesh. Since V4's mouth is blue or glowing, then you've been rendering with her upper and lower jaw actively Visible at render time when SSS was used. Turn her jaw invisible and you'll be fine - assuming her mouth is closed:P Unfortunately there's no sense turning the eyes off unless they're closed...so they'll still glow.

What causes this blue tint and this glow? Well, basically: SSS calculates shadows(blue) or light(glow) when it encounters something immediately near the skin, like teeth, gums, and eye balls. A good SSS calculation would not do that.  So...Poser's SSS isn't as awesome as it initially seemed but it is still pretty good looking!

Take a look at this.  There's glowing all over this SSS render.

When is that set to be done?

** It's done. I'm just checking and re-checking everything. And then re-checking. Promos are done. I just have to upload it.**

What will be the cost so I can start saving up .... ?

** I'm guessing $19.99 or one leprechaun's gold piece.**

My next requested project is from a friend who wants a sexy drow elf actually .... so a dark black/blue/purple skin option would be ideal ... then white lashes/brows and glowy tatts etc ... hhhmmmmm

All that? I can do that in the third set...fantasy SimONE! That's what I was planning on making anyway but I've no idea what other merchants would want in that kind of resource so this is a great beginning for direction!
