At anyrate, if the figure loads in the scene, then you've probably done everything correctly. Make sure your display mode is set to Texture Preview. It's the sphere that looks like the image attached.

The display mode shows a blank screen with no visible image. I usually have to click the "Smooth Shaded" sphere to see anything... is that how it's supposed to be???
