The benefit of EZSkin is you have complete control over how much SSS you would like to apply to your figure. Other features control bump settings, reflection, and, heck, if you wanted to change the color of the skin texture, it is all there. I have been experimenting with creating different color gnome characters just using random skin textures and making the changes through EZSkin. Dark blue Drows is a snap.
There is another thread in the forum listing additional xml scripts for unsupported characters. Wellworth looking into it; you might find something useful.
