You seem to have two sided polys. You'll need to remove the ones at the back of the sail in Shade or something to make them look like anything you'd wanna render...lol. I hate to tell you the bad news, but that's the way it is ;). Poser just doesn't do two sided polys...something with infinitely thin objects or something ;).
