Well to turn off ALL notifications, you'll have to go to different areas of the site, like the forum options, the gallery options {fave artists} wishlists, fave vendors {under 'store' on your homepage}, and of course newsletters in your profile...the daily digest is that little chat bubble with a yellow/orange star on it next to the sitemail icon on the top right of the page...{see attached} click that and turn it off on the next page...{it will take 24 hrs for the system to take effect on that one}

Edit to add: Even if you turn off the daily digest, you will still get notifications here..just no emails for them..you'll have to go back to that icon and click it to see the new items}
