This example I made in 2006 for Poser 5 at the time.

From left to right:

Poser 4 Lo Res female (morphed, there is NO extra Poly, it is the figure as is)

With Only displacement map
Rendered.

The shoes, the pants, the shirt, the hair, all was morphed from the origional mesh.
The displacement map was made with the texture as a starting point.
