Many thanks for the advice to both of you. It appears I will need to take the next step in this process. I did as BB said to do and changed hither to "0" to get rid of the zombies, but this did not fix my issue. I also reset the app to factory defaults in general preferences. I noted that the setting for hither at factory settings is 0.413. I don't know if this is the normal setting or not. Changing it back to zero doesn't get rid of the problem.

I have been working the past couple of days on BB's IBL generator, carefully following instructions ans ensuring I have settings cortrect. When I load the prop, it seems to come in okay, but when I set the render dimensions to 400 X 400 and attempt to render, I get nothing but a brown square. I set it up again and then switched to wireframe mode to see if I could get a glimpse of what was going on. I found that the camera is right on top of the character, and not framed in the viewport. According to the instructions, the image should be 42 inches from the center of the universe and 60 inches off the ground. By backing way out, I can frame the image somewhat, but I am sure it is not correct. Rendering the image gives me a funky image that looks nowhere near like the images on his page. I'll post a screen capture of it a bit later if you tell me what you need to see. I do export the image and then load it into the IBL per page instructions. Trouble is, I am not sure if this is working correctly or not. The images are not anywhere near to my satisfaction. Tweaking light intensity seems to help. Should I redo the .ini file?

TIA
