There is a program called Archipelis (http://www.archipelis.com/) that will let you form 3D objects from animals and basic things in your photos.  Doesn't look like it would work very well on something like a truck though...

There are also a number of programs which can convert 2D stills into an object.  All of them require multiple photos to accomplish this, and no program seems to be very good at dealing with the things it cannot see.

Many 3D programs will let you place images in your front and side views for reference as you model.  You'll still need to know how to model though.
