     Oh my.  There are dozens of things posted in the FaerieWylde, scattered among several themed freebie sub-forum areas.  I'll try to duplicate a posting here.

*     Then, he realized that while the inkwell was no longer against the bookend, something else was.  He sat in the chair and stared - there was a wee little door beside the bookend.  He pulled out the book which was just on the other side, but on that side, the bookend was just a plain wooden bookend, as it always had been.*

*     The tiny door opened, and light faintly shone out from... inside?  And out stepped a tiny woman, moving gracefully and lightly.  He marveled at her beauty and the wonder of it all, and so it took a few moments for him to notice that the light was from a forest in bright twilight on the other side of the doorway, with a little path leading to the door.  He glanced up at the windows of his house;  it was midnight dark outside.  His attention bolted back to the tiny lady - she looked up at him, and held forth one hand as if in invitation, and then pointed with the other to his observatory desk across the room.  He studied his familiar old work desk, and realized that both his telescope and his armillary instrument had been re-aimed... "*

     The faerie door can also be set against the baseboard of a wall;  just slide it in far enough to eliminate any gap, but not so far that the "elsewhere/elsewhen" view bubble pokes through the wall.  Door opens with Yrot;  mailbox lid opens with Zrot - in case you need to leave your muse a request letter (a very small letter!) :P

    Exercise prudence in pushing the doorbell.
