Not sure if this is the right forum, so at the risk of great wrath, I'll ask. Does anyone know of any compatibility problems betwen Poser 4.03, Pro Pack or any other 3d app for that matter an Windows XP? I would hate to install and find none of my apps work. W2K lied when it said there were no problems with any of my software so I'm hesitant to install XP on my graphics machine. Any info would be appreciated, TIA Jbear

Windows XP (Personal) and Poser4/PPP work fine. no real problems i have seen (I am a MS Beta tester) I am using the version will be released with new OEM systems. the system I'm using is Latitude C600. I have noticed that the way the gold version of XP makes poser run a bit smoother with High polygon count models, althought it can be over taxed due to the amout of memory in the system (128) it handles better that windows ME and 2K and can render with more models in the image.

Thanks. Not sure which build we're using and the IT folks aren't aware of the graphics box (unless they read this post). It seems pretty good with MS apps though. we're running Dell 1.o Ghz with 512M so it will be neat to see how far it can be pushed. Thanks!!! Jbear

You should be fine, that system is quite good with poser (But I'm Biased) yours is the 8100 correct?

Yep. Good boxes, so far. Why we got them for admin purposes I'll never know, but never look a gift horse in the mouth. (I sense a render in there somewhere) Jbear

cool, since i work there I know those systems very well the 8200 is even faster.

Since they are relatively new, we won't be able to upgrade h/w until next year :(, but they beat the pants off my home boxes. Thanks for all the info though!!! Jbear
