One caveat (since you mentioned using Genesis as a model):

Daz Studio cannot use MD-created cloth as --dynamic--.  It will only read Optitiex-created items as dynamic cloth.

It will import it as a static object, and if you are careful (and know what you are doing), you may be able to rig it into a conforming outfit.  (Not a D/S user, myself, so take that as a 'maybe' only.)

 But Poser, can and does, read MD created items as dynamic.  That I do know, as I have done it often.  

 Just depends on which program your end use is geared to, is all.
