Thank you, Janl.
Quote - It's very pretty! If you are looking for something more "pleated," there's a nice Pleat Ring model here in the Rendo freebies: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=68255
It creates a nice uniformly pleated item.
Glitterati3D,
Thank you. I downloaded as soon as I saw it , but I had this outfit sitting in a folder for some time now. Just getting around to finishing it. Got frustrated with the skirt & then I had a light bulb go off & I'm going with it. It's important to me to do it without help from 'cheats' if I can. I'll save the Pleat Ring as a last resort.
Quote - 3DFineries, The tricky bit with dynamic cloth is that everything must be welded shut. That is the reason for all the disapointing dynamic stuff without pockets and thickness and seams and belt loops and other details, and most important of all -morphs.
But once you get it right it is worth the trouble, you have something new, I wouldn't say that its like "where no man has gone before" but near enough.
Are you a man or mouse? Make an effort and be a part of the new paradigm shift! You are welcome to ask me anything through the site mail.
To tell the truth, I feel a little lonely.
vintorix,
I didn't know you had to weld dynamic clothes. I never really noticed those little details like belt loops & pockets before you pointed them out, but I'm still learning the ins & outs of Poser. That's interesting.... I don't mind troubleas long as I can avoid the frustration that usually follows. Once I get frustrated though I have to put it down & do something else.
I made it cause I wanted a more authentic Egyptian outfit. I have a render in mind & really needed this style outfit. I still have to model the short kilt, jewelry & sandals. Didn't even think about "going where no man has gone before", but hey I'll take it. Although, I'll have to settle for being a wo"man" instead. Don't want to be a man & I kill mice (& bugs) for a living.
Will drop you a note if I need something for sure though. I really like that coat. Bet it will drape nicely when all is said & done.
Seems I have a bit of an issue with the belt to fix though. The skirt polys are clashing with the belt. I think the angle of the inner edge of the belt is too sharp. Once I figure it out, I'm sure I'll need to ask more questions about other stuff.
Have a creative day!
