Quote - V4/M4 are not Genesis;  Genesis is the generation 5 doll.  There is only one base Genesis doll, and all the Gen5 characters (V5, M5, Kids 5, troll, etc) are morphs of the Genesis base.

Yes, but you are also correct about V/M 4 and under not being specifically for Genesis, but I think they can be used in D|S 4 and are backwards compatable.

Really, this should be in another forum so people more familiar with Genesis can answer more fully. :)
