Power Quest has a utility called magic mover. They also have it free if you buy Partition Magic. you would install the new drive as a slave to the old one. (your system will be a bit faster putting the OS and programs on separate drives) then run magic mover. it takes care of all your ini file and registry issues We're talking PC here right?
