heyas; i don't want to cause an eagle overload or anything.... but my latest project is in its final stages, and ready to be announced. it's the Eagle Expansion Pack 1. you can probably guess it does for the eagle what the Antelope Expansion Pack did for the buck. (also like the antelopes, there's a free preview version of the critter -- see the big wing eagle.) eagle expansion pack 1 has hawks, falcons and kites; about 25 species and variants in all. it uses the new big wing eagle mapping and my feather hosing painting technique (tutorial coming soon!) for highly detailed textures. it has bump maps, and trans maps for the wing and tail feathers for that natural look. instead of twenty-some-odd cr2s, you get two base figures (one for hawks, one for falcons and kites), then apply a 'species pose' to it, which sets the morphs, the body shaping, the textures (like a mat pose file), and the body scaling, so each bird is approximately life-size in the poser universe. pictured above is the eastern red-tailed hawk. (and yes, you may have noticed the #1 on the title. exp2 is slated to have eagles (yes, more eagles), vultures, condors and the secretary bird; but that won't be out for a while.)

I have been waiting for something like this Bloodsong :) Where will it be offered? I have the antelope expansion pack, and it is marvelous :)

Bloodsong: Do you expect the set to need the eagle, or to include all the geometry, like the Antelope set? I never really understood the story behind the expansion pack not needing the Buck anyway... I truly love the 'lopes. It's one of the best deals for the money I have found, in a field with excellent pricing for the work required. GrayMare
