Quote - So you export a Genesis per UV set. Do you need seperate CR2's for the extreme body morphs too? Or can poser handle those, or does python handle those?
Gosh no - think of how many .CR2's you'd need to accomplish that! Poser isn't the IDEAL Genesis host - it wasn't designed in combination with the Genesis content in a symbiotic way in the way I beleive DS4 was - but the Poser Team have still done a heck of a lot of work updating Poser for the latest generation, including work to specifically support Genesis (it would appear - I have no significant inside knowledge from either camp).
Each and every Genesis .CR2 supports all the shapes that one has/had installed when it was exported from Studio - from teenie tiny girlie to huge hulking Mr Hyde :)
Quote - If you only have to export once per UV, then it begs the question why doesn't creator sell the cr2 and some texture maps ...?
An excellent question. As I mentioned above, I don't have significant inside info but I certainly am opinionated - and I have some ideas on the whole issue, though I'm afraid they are neither consistently pro-DAZ nor anti-DAZ :( . I originally wanted to include the base Genesis pre-converted with this tutorial, but that wasn't possible. I've got to run an errand shortly so I don't have time to write the probably lengthy response to this, but on my return I MAY make a new thread on the topic rather than risk spoiling the incredibly positive and pleasant attitude in this thread with any negative or contrary thoughts on the way Genesis is provided to the public.
Cheers,
Cliff
