Original work, such as it is, typically comes from music, but usually not just one song - as a writing exercise, I take whole albums as "sound tracks" and write the "movie" so the songs not only appear in their published sequence, but the specifics of each song directly relates to that scene in the film. The "trick," if any, is to find a common thread other than a documentary on the band.
As for Poser art, I look through the Gallery here and try to duplicate the masters. There is one in particular that seems to have gone missing from My Favorites, but it was the first artwork that made me decide to actually try to reproduce it.
(It is from about 2003, with a single female figure, a grandfather clock, and lit with green.)
