For the most part it is songs and stories that inspire me, if that is the right word.  For example the most recent addition to my gallery came from hearing "Wish you could be here" from the Seekers, a tune from long ago which I enjoyed at the time and had forgotten.  The render has a Sci-Fi theme but the motivation came from way in the past.

More recently stories have also been part of it as I have rediscovered reading, now I find I have the time, as I work part time.  Often I will read a chapter and a vivid picture will suddenly appear in my thoughts and sometimes stick.  I then find I have to attempt to bring it to life in a render, on rare occasions I do finish up with something I actually like.

I also look at the galleries, both 3d and photographic, here and while I do not attempt to re-create them I sometimes take the grain of an idea from two or three and see if I can come up with something different.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
