Paolo... got it all figured out.. it was all about permissions.. just gave myself permissions to the lux folder on each of the slave computers and my network render was off and running. The render was slow to begin with.. was only getting 17k/sec on the owner computer.. so getting 20k off one slave and 18k off another slave sped things up a lot. Will be nice to see how fast I render when I can manage to pull one off that is going a lot faster. This won't be much of an issue in the fall when I build my full-time rendering box. This one is kind of a hybrid since I use it for gaming too.
My Linux box is setup to run "Luxrender -s" on startup as a user and then use a LuxUser home directory for all the files. All I need ot do is turn it on :)
