Try this...
Go into the folder and change the name of the original texture to something else.
Just add a "B" to the end, and save it, you will have two files in the folder now, the original and OriginalB.jpg or what ever.
Now go back to Poser and load the "B" version, I think you will find that it now loads the correct texture.
What I do when I'm creating a texture and I want to keep testing them in Poser is label each one as "A", "B", and "C" etc.
If you change the texture and then try to load the same name it will still load the one that it has already loaded with that name and not reflect the changes.
Once you have changed the loaded texture to the "B" version you can go back and load the original version and it will stick.
