They are the same thing except that it's better to do it in Reality because you can do it on a light-by-light basis. The controls in Lux are per light group. Also, it's better to do it in Reality because the value becomes part of the scene. If you enter the color temperature in Lxu then you need to remember to re-do it every time you render that scene.

I suspected so but I wasn't sure. To get metal to show really as metal you need to get the polish past 8000. I often got up to 9200-9500, depending on the material and the lighting.
