Quote - I'm curious about post work.  Is it acceptable, is it frowned upon?  I've noticed quite a few comments about it in the forums here and am wondering what the general concensus is, or maybe there isn't one?  What do you all think?

 

Persoanl preference. Some use it and some don't. My personal view is that if using an unbiased renderer to achieve any kind of realism, postwork defeats the purpose, similar to fake lighting in biased renderers. I like the technical aspect of trying to achieve all thru the actual render. But in saying that, photographers use all kinds of tricks to get optimal lighting, so to each their own.
