If you don't want to leave DS4 one option would be to convert V4 to a TriAx weight-mapped figure (Edit>Figure>Rigging>Convert Figure to Weight Mapping), at which point the Transfer utility would work as with Genesis. The alternative, and the way most people do it, is to select V4, then open the Figure set-up pane; right-click on the pane's tab, or click the menu button in the top corner, to get the option menu and select Copy from selected Figure; right-click in the Geometry List area and import your clothing OBJ, which must already be grouped; drag the OBJ from the Geometry List into the Hierarchy - it should replace the V4 geometry on bones that match; delete unneeded bones by right-clicking on them - remove the geometry from bones you want for stability but which don't have any geometry in your clothing (for example, if your sleeves end at the forearms you will want to keep the hand bones, but with nothing for geometry); make sure Modify Selected is checked at bottom-left of the pane; click the Create button. Then you will have to use the Joint Editor tool to adjust the falloff zones.
