Yes, I use it and have even made parts of some conforming items dynamic to get better use out of them.

I have bought dynamic clothing but usually it has to have details modelled into it and not just a simple sheath or wrap  that lots of dynamic clothes are unfortunately.

I don't prefer one over the other, it depends on what works and looks best in each individual case.
