Amen to that! I bought a few dynamic clothes (some with extensive tutorials). But almost every time I used one of them, something dreadful happened and the results were a mess.
Plus I'm too impatient to wait for the simulation(s) to be completed.

To answer the poll:
No, I hardly use dynamics
No, I won't buy - unless it's exactly what I'm looking for (a roman toga, anyone?)
I prefer conforming

The best way to use dynamic cloth is to follow a few simple rules:

Don't bend a body part so far that two groups touch each other when there is cloth between them, such as an elbow on a sleeve. If they do touch, the cloth gets pinched in between and the simulation doesn't know what to do with the polys in the cloth and sends them sort of helter skelter. Bend the body part so that there is a tiny bit of space for the cloth to do its thing.

When doing a simulation where any cloth will be in between a body part and another object, such as a chair, leave a tiny bit of space between.
