I never install any of my graphic apps in the default windows program folders. (The only exception is adobe. xxx)
When you use those folders, windows 7 uses its UAC security systems for file access, and that can break some functionailty, or cause aditional approval selections when adding/deleting items.
I'd rather not disable UAC, so installing them to a new c:3dprogram name works best for me. (Plus then I can just do a mass backup of my whole 3d folder.)
Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.
