In fact the OBJ file is at the core of Poser's workflow. Nevertheless the user experience with Poser and Blender is completely different and many Poser users would rather seat on the dentist chair than use Blender to pose a figure :)
Wow - Reality has moved forward! So, you can pose figures in Luxrender using Reality, now.
