Doesn't happen to me.  A few things. First: Make sure you're using the latest SR. SR3 just released if you didn't know. Second, you may need to delete your prefs, as they may have become corrupted. I don't know what you're rendering or what else you may have running when you quit the render but on my desktop, Poser doesn't usually crash when I cancel rendering.
