Actually, I can not remember a crash in SR2, SR2.1 or SR3.

Delete your prefs, Poser will build a new set on next startup.

Upgrade/update your video drivers.

Clean your system using something like Advanced Sytem Care free from iobit, and run it a couple of times in deepclean mode.
