i don´t know how you would call this effect...

it´s like in those batman movies, when the bats flying from the back of the scene towards the front and fly a kind of loop.

that effect that the swarm comes from the back scene to the front...in front of a castle or sth like that

I'm still learning the 3d programs but I plan on making fiction and non fiction bat movies so I would be interested in anything as well. although your looking for pictures. do a google on "bat immergants" I probably didn't spell that right but that's what they call it when they come out of a cave. you might be able to take bats leaving Bracken Cave in Texas and overlay it with a building althouhg bats far away just look like little V and are blurry. might do as well just painting them in.

It depends really what you want the bats for a scene where they are a silouette in front of a castle then thats really easy get a picture of Bats in a swarm (make sure you can use this legally as Photo's are also subject to copyright.) Open the image in Adobe Photoshop or whatever you use. Use the Threshold tool to make sure they are all Black on white Background then go to edit/define Brush and save as Batswarm this will create a brush for you and you will be able to use it for silouette Batswarms. (You can do the same with A Photo delete the background aroun the bats. But instead of Define as Brush define as patternn instead and the create 2 new layers once the pattern is saved and go to layer/fill layer/pattern. You will have the bats from the merge 1 layer down and then position them where you want them to go. I don't know how to do this in 3d as I only Use Bryce.

i tried to put some bats in a loop with a blur effect

but i don´t like the pre-result

The Blur Effect works but what you might want to do is make sure you have a layer where the bats are normal this way you will get the benefit of the Blur and the bats will appear more focused set the lighting on the blured bats to soft light or overlay. You want the bats to be well visible but at the same time you want the movement and the best way to do it is to make 2 layers 1 leave as the bats appeared originally the second use a motion blur and change setting to soft light this should work well if I am correct.
