Hi Guys,

Working on a new larger City Block Set and have a question about Poser 6.

This set is including some materials that use sss and displacement

Will they work in Poser 6?

Or do I have to create materials that have sss turned off for users of older versions of Poser.

My thinking is that Poser 6 will just ignore the sss as it does not have it. Not sure about it though.

Here are a couple images so you can see what I am talking about.

One with the snow off and a rainy road

And lastly one with the default materials with the dry road materials.

SSS only works in Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012. I believe the settings will be ignored in previous versions of Poser.

Tom,

I'm making an updated script to help you with this, one that will produce backward compatible shaders. Real life commitments are making it tricky, but I'll have something on Tuesday.

Thanks Royston! That sounds great!

Also thanks for all the other things you do for the Poser world. :-)

Love the Snow Machine! So easy to use.

Tom
