I would just love to see them try to get a Nimitz class carrier into Portsmouth harbour :)

not even that would stop the gosport ferry;)

seriously though, one visited a few years back Bush or Esinhower (forget which) and that had to park in stokes bay!

Wanted to get some good shots and that proved impossible. Security was seriously tight. 

Local no fly zone, beach patrols dissauding folks with big lens. Thought she'll have to pass the mouth of the harbour when leaving, Spinaker tower would be perfect. Ship left early and the tower was opened late. :(

Though have got some of the last day of Ark Royal and Manchester.
