On the other hand, I haven't upgraded to 4.5 and have no plans to do so for the immediate future. 

The Reality automatic update feature is a victim if Studio 4.5 broken compatibility with the previous version of itself. I had to avoid using it because if I enabled the notification of the update it would break your installation. Studio 4.0 cannot run plugins for 4.5 so you would be forced to upgrade to 4.5, something that no everybody is doing. If you don't upgrade to 4.5 and not install Reality 2.5 then the popup would appear every time your launch Studio, which is annoying because you would not have any way of avoiding it.

So I am stuck with no options. If Studio had maintained compatibility, as it was expected, this would not have happened. As it is, I have no way to solve this situation except making the automatic update more flexibile, something that is planned for Reality 3.0.

On the other hand I can't have a link to freely download Reality from my site, so I need to bother you with the ID request. 

I hope this explains the situation a little bit, I appreciate everybody's patience.
