SBT.
The Reality UI is kept intact, with some great expansions:
Everything is in one place, no "scattershot effect"
Materials are almost the same but they have been expanded and some materials have been added, like Skin and Hair.
All texture can be any Lux texture combiantion. This means that you can have a Color Math texture that combines a color plus another color math or a mix texture nested to any level
Almost all Lux procedural textures have been added. What you don't see in the video is the new texture previewer that I just finished coding. It's delicious!
The new UI is also much faster!
BTW, I agree with you about the node interface. That is why I didn't implement one in Reality 3. I debated that for a long time but I felt that nodes+noodles are just not a very valid UI choice. They are basically a literal graphic representation of the data structure and that is the first time that I see such a literal translation of data structures into UI elements. This is not an indictment of Poser. Maya, Blender and many other high-end 3D programs use the same approach. I just believe that it's not a very user-friendly system. The UI in Reality allows the same level of flexibility but with a "browser-like" UI which I believe is much more approacheable.
Cheers.
