It's Possible, I have used Dynamic M4 on V4, Dymanic V3 on V4 and visa-versa. In the early days of V4 I needed a Goth look and used a Laura party dress on V4. Scaling x, y and z and drape frames are your friends. Props to push cloth around or support it where needed with the props  invisiable in the render is another trick that helps.
